Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Landing

 CCR members and guests will cruise to a museum of 17th-century Virginia, Jamestown Settlement and afterwards dine and shop at the Yorktown waterfront. This ‘Vettes ‘n vittles’ event takes place ‘rain or shine’. The event is limited to 65 persons due to limitations of the private room -The Landing at Riverwalk Restaurant. 

The cruise will start at I-295 and Route 5 (New Market Rd), the Varina area of Henrico, at the Exxon (3300 New Market Rd) station. We will meet @ 8:00 AM for departure to Williamsburg @ 8:30 AM. Our guided tour of the Jamestown Settlement starts @ 10:00 AM and lasts for 2.5 hours. The cost per person is $14.60, and is paid directly to Jamestown during check in. After touring and shopping time, we will depart for the Yorktown waterfront via the Colonial Parkway at approximately 1:00- 1:15 PM. 

The Colonial Parkway is a scenic connector between Jamestown and Yorktown following the York River. Driving speed is limited to a leisurely pace along the parkway. The drive to Yorktown should take no more than 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the Yorktown waterfront, parking is available in the public garage across Water Street from the waterfront. 

Meal reservations are at The Landing at Riverwalk Restaurant. The lunch menu is set prior to arrival via the banquet menu. The cost per person is $30. This cost will include appetizer, house salad, warm bread, choice of two entrees, fresh vegetables, dessert, and a beverage. No alcoholic beverages are included, but available at the Landing. 

The fee for the meal must be pre-paid prior to arrival, so I will be collecting this at our meetings before this event. We must have a minimum of 40 meals pre-paid to avoid the room rental fee.  Make the check payable to Rick Franklin. Final reservations must be made with the restaurant by May 4.
